Alison Gaynor, Ph.D, M.S.

Alison Gaynor, Ph.D., M.S,. joinsFSU Health Precision Pedaitrics at IPRD as a Genetic Counselor. She provides clinical genetics services through the  clinic. Dr. Gaynor earned her Ph.D. in Human Genetics and a Masters in Genetic Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Her doctoral work involved elucidating RNA-based diagnostics for muscular dystrophy disorders, as well as biomarker discovery for Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy. Her research interests include neuromuscular genetics and transcriptomics, as well as next-generation sequencing (NGS). She brings to the clinic a passion for rare disease research and discovery, as well as a deep love for patient care.
